:: Mirai e ::

Been listening to this song since 10 years ago. Tapi baru tergerak nak faham lirik lagu ni selepas mula belajar Nihongo. Yosh, mirai e mukatte! 😎

Mirai e | To the future

Hora ashimoto wo mitegoran | Look! Pay attention to your steps
Kore ga anata no ayumu michi | This, is the path you walk
Hora mae wo mitegoran | Look! Pay attention to what’s ahead
Are ga anata no mirai | That, is your future

Haha ga kureta takusan no yasashi sa | My mum had showered me with lots of affection
Ai wo idaite ayume to kurikaeshita | “Embrace love, and move on!” She said time and again
Ano toki wa mada osanakute imi nado shiranai | Still young and immature back then, I didn’t even know its (meaning / significance)
Sonna watashi no te wo nigiri | While I was clueless, she held my hand
Issho ni ayundekita | And walked with me to come this far

Yume wa itsumo sora takaku aru kara | As dreams are always high up in the sky
Todokanakute kowai ne dakedo oitsuzukeru no | Beyond reach, it’s really scary. Still, I’ll continue to pursue my dreams
Jibun no story dakara koso akirametakunai | It’s my own story. For this very reason, I don’t want to give up
Fuan ni naru to te wo nigiri | Whenever I felt uneasy, she held my hand
Issho ni ayundekita | And walked with me to come this far

Sono yasashi sa mo toki ni wa iyagari | I, who had disliked that affection at times
Hanareta haha e sunao ni narezu | Can no longer be that pure, innocent girl before my departed mum

Mirai e mukatte | Let’s face the future
Yukkuri to aruite yukou | As we walk on, step by step

:: Nihongo ::

Today is the Sultan’s birthday. So my class was cancelled. And I guess it’s kinda good idea to write something here, about my “class”.

So.. what’s with the inverted comma with that “class”? Well, it’s a language class. Nihongo. Yup, Japanese language class.

Dah kenapa tiba-tiba belajar Bahasa Jepun? I guess I have the option not to answer that question. Har2. Baik tak payah type soalan tu kat sini. Apapun, blog den, suko hati den la. Peace. 😉

Oh by the way, have you come across this verse in the Quran? Allah says:

And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those of knowledge. (Surah Ar-Ruum, 30:22)

Beautiful isn’t it? Variety of languages spoken is also one of the signs of Allah. And I.. I just love languages. 🙂

Hey, let’s take a look at this infographic:

And my language learning history: I started to learn Français (French) when I was 13 – in my school. Well actually all of the students in that school have the options to learn one of these languages; Arabic, Français or Japanese. And to cut the long story short, I chose Français.

Few years later when I was in my university, I took Arabic. Though it was just basic, I found it pretty good and very useful especially when reading the Quran. It helps, really. I was kinda regret that I didn’t learn Arabic earlier in school, but learning Français was never a waste. I hope I can learn Arabic some more in the future.

Ok, enough of the past. Let’s talk about the current.

It’s almost been 2 months since I started my Nihongo class (Nihongo = Japanese language). It was cool and interesting because all of my sensei (sensei = teacher) are the native speakers of this languange. In other words, they are Japanese!

I’m still a beginner to this language. Still got lots of things to learn! (Tulis pun guna hiragana je..)
